FenwaYoga – The Red Sox Foundation is hosting a yoga fundraiser at Fenway Park where participants do yoga poses on the famed ballpark’s warning track at Sunrise or Sunset. Each yoga class participant must raise a minimum of $250 in pledges to earn a spot.
Obliteride Bike Ride Fundraiser – This Seattle area week-long cancer fundraiser event is expected to raise $2.5 million, all of which will go directly to cancer research. Riders cycle 25, 50, 100 or 180 miles through Seattle, the East-side and Tacoma area. Each rider pays a registration fee of $100 and commit to raise at least $1,000 more. Event organizers expect thousands of people to participate in the events this weekend.
Rockin’ The Prairie Fundraiser – Community festival in Bice Prairie, Wisconsin raises money for first responders with a night of local music, food from the Lion’s Club, and a variety of raffles.
Moose Lodge Festive Fundraiser – The Moose Lodge in Sellersburg, Indiana raised money for their charitable efforts with a fun fundraising event packed with activities. It started with an early morning yard sale followed by a day-long craft bazaar, a classic car show, and a cookout featuring freshly ground hamburgers.
Wine & Equine Charity Benefit – A fun and elegant evening in Alamo, California raises funds for a children’s charity providing horse-related therapeutic services. Fun fundraising activities include a gourmet dinner, live and silent auction, live music and line dancing.
Bark In The Park – Fun fundraiser idea features a Guinness World Record attempt for loudest bark as the centerpiece for an event raising money for the Humane Society in LaCrosse, WI. The group previously held the Guinness World Record for the Loudest Combined Bark, but lost it in 2009. In addition to the “Big Bark” world record attempt, Bark in the Park also includes a variety of family and pet-friendly activities such as a costume contest, art studio, live music, dog-friendly swimming pool, Mutt Merchants vendor booths, and a kibble kitchen.
Musical Chairs Fundraising Event – A giant game of musical chairs in Colorado Springs, CO is raising money to fund a Head Start program decimated by budget cuts. Tickets for the largest game of musical chairs are $25 each and business sponsors have already purchased 330 of the hand-painted chairs at $500 each.
School Carnival – A 9-year old girl is organizing a carnival to be held at a local school to raise money for a 11-year old boy’s cancer treatments. Angelyn Wade has never met Gage Driskell, but heard about his need from another cancer patient, 4-year old Lilyan King. Angelyn had previously raised $6,000 to help Lilyan with a “pledge-per-inch” fundraiser where she cut off her long blonde hair to help the young girl and her family. Now, she’s organizing the carnival to raise money for Gage and his family in Parma, Idaho.
Rythm & Brews Fundraiser – Craft beer tasting and live music help raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club of Yankton, South Dakota. Fun fundraisers include the craft beer tasting, delicious hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, high stakes games, and a VIP session with a 5-course meal served with specialty craft brews.
Wine & Chocolate Festival – Community organizers in Enid, Oklahoma are putting together their third annual Wine & Chocolate Festival to raise funds for starting a local Chamber Of Commerce. The festival, which features homemade wines and gourmet chocolates, is expected to draw 1,500 people and several dozen winemakers.
