Organizer Stephen Brown said he tries to create a fundraiser that doesn’t feel like one. “WTF is a fundraiser dressed up as a screaming party; we often call it a fund-rager.” The event features dance performances in an up-close, cabaret style a new layout so guests can see better, DJ areas for partying and quieter lounges for catching up. The fundraiser offers an exclusive wine tasting plus seasonal fare from top area restaurants. Silent auction items also include exclusive restaurant and private chef packages.
Eighth Night For Ethan – A Hannukah-themed fundraiser in Loveland, Ohio raises funds for a 13-year old boy with catastrophic brain damage from a lightning strike this summer. Ethan Kadish was struck by lightning while playing at summer camp and faces a lifetime of specialized medical care. Friends, family, and hundreds of supporters gathered in the school cafeteria on Eighth Night to show their support and raise money for medical expenses.
Passports With Purpose Fundraiser – Travel brands and bloggers team up to raise funds for vetted non-profits working in communities worldwide. This unique fundraising idea posts travel-related donated items such as airfare, hotel stays, travel gear, etc. to an online catalog that works like a Chinese auction. The participating bloggers drive traffic to the website through blog promotions. Visitors to the Passports With Purpose website select prizes from the catalog that interest them and then pay $10 for a bid that enters them in a drawing for that prize.
Rock & Roll Fundraiser – Legendary rock stars Alice Cooper, Kiss, Vince Neil, Jack Blades, Kip Winger, Rob Zombie and Dee Snider will all perform at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas to help raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club to help kids go to South Dakota’s Brennan Rock & Roll Academy, which is kind of like Jack Black’s School of Rock. Music memorabilia and unique celebrity experiences were featured in the live auction plus there were exclusive VIP packages that also raised money for the cause.

Skate For Life Hockey Fundraiser – The Marquette Royales hockey team in Marquette, Michigan is helping raise funds for transplant patients medical expenses with a Skate For Life game. Each player’s autographed jersey will also be auctioned off online as part of the fundraiser.
Gingerbread Wonderland Church Fundraiser – St. Mark’s Episcopal Church held a Gingerbread Wonderland fundraiser in Solvang, California with a gingerbread house raffle, Christmas cookie bake-off, ornament decorating classes, and artisan workshops.
Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting – This fun festival in Carmel, California centered around community holiday activities raised money for Voices For Children, which aids neglected youth and foster children. The event featured caroling, family fun activities, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, plus food and wine tastings.
Seventies Fun Fundraiser – The Chimes Foundation hosted “A Decade In A Night” fundraiser with a 70’s theme in Baltimore, Maryland to raise funds for people with special needs and disabilities. The fun fundraising event featured music by Little Anthony & The Imperials, Gloria Gaynor, and KC & the Sunshine Band, raising $568,000 in the process.
Brave The Bay – Miles Scott, aka “BatKid”, who charmed San Francisco with his epic crime fighting capers as part of a Make-A-Wish dream come true, is back in action in a Make-A-Wish fundraiser in partnership with the San Francisco police department. Miles will lead the 5K run/walk and police chief Greg Suhr, aka “Commissioner Gordon”, will lead the police force for a frigid jump into the bay, followed by a cable car pulling competition.
