The fun Lock Up event is one of the group’s largest fundraisers each year.
Nature Calls Fundraiser – No, it’s not about that kind of “nature calls” business. The 10th annual version of this fun fundraising event in Sioux City, IA benefits a local nature center with a fundraising event that includes craft beer tasting, sales of nature art, raffles, a silent auction and a live auction. Guests have a choice of 30 different craft beers and local brews, so apparently at least some of them might have to answer nature’s call after all.
Send Your Boss To Camp Fundraiser – A fun fundraiser by a Boy Scout troop in Zanesville, OH asks local business employees to contribute enough money to make their bosses have to go to Boy Scout camp. Once there, the bosses will have to camp overnight and compete in several “Are You Tougher Than A Boy Scout” challenges.

Fly Around, Dine Around – Another fun fundraiser benefiting the the Cosmosphere Hall Of Space Museum in Wichita, KS featured eight former astronauts in a meet and greet autograph session. The fundraising event included a Taste Of The Town reception with raffles and a silent auction including unique space flight souvenirs. An exclusive $200 a plate fundraising dinner also included an option for an exclusive photo opp with all 8 astronauts for an extra $100 donation.
Saltwater Fishing Tournament – A deep-sea fishing tournament in San Luis Obispo, CA raises funds for the Wounded Warriors non-profit group to take wounded service personnel deep sea fishing this fall.
Charity Clambake – This fun fundraising event, which is held at the Shores Waterfront Restaurant on Tonawanda Island in Tonawanda, NY, is in its 16th year. The clambake draws roughly 400 attendees on average each year and raises $20,000.
Support Our Girls Fundraising Event – This fun event in Helena, Montana brings “Bra-tists” together to make the most unique and creative pieces of art based around the female brassiere that are then auctioned off to help the local non-profit group, Florence Crittenton.
Redneck Costume Party – A Hot Chicken & Jorts fundraiser in Murfreesboro, TN raises funds with a redneck costume party at the Mayday Brewery. Attendees are advised to “channel their inner redneck, cut your jean shorts (jorts) just a little too short, comb your mullet, and let that beer belly hang out.” The fun event is a fundraiser for The Oasis Center, a Nashville nonprofit organization for at-risk teens.
And that’s it for another Fun Raising Friday look at fun fundraiser events from around the country.
